Below is a summary of the differences between our 3 options:

With all three services there is a basic set-up charge for the following:

Bar Counters - 1 x Bar counter (size H1.3m x W2.0m x D630mm) serving a 100 guests (pax).
Staff - 2 x Barmen
Support Staff - On Request
Glasses & Ice - (STD Range kept on the bar - Zombie, Highball, Beer, Whisky & Wine)
Speciality Glasses & Cocktail Glasses & Table Glasses - quoted separately
Travel - JHB: R300, Midrand & Centurion: R200.00, PTA: R100 - Further would be quoted subject to distance)
Bar Fridges - Will be quoted separately on request
Cocktail Bar Utensils - Will be quoted separately on request
Standard Bar Utensils - Included free of charge
Refundable Glass Breakage Deposit - Quoted according to size of function.

Dry Bar Service

  • The client will supply all the alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages that will be served on the day of the function.
  • The client will take full responsibility for the On-Consumption, other known as Temporary Liquor License by signing our disclaimer form
  • With the Dry Bar Option we (Mobile Bar CC) only deliver our service to you, and we take no legal responsibilities for liquor sales

Consignment Bar Service

This is when our client have a set budget to supply their guests with drinks throughout the night on an open, free bar basis. We will work out a drinks estimate according to the budget on a Corporate Bar set-up in terms of lines of alcohol.

  • This is just an estimate for deposit payment so whether consumption is more or less than the estimate you will be billed accordingly or refunded accordingly if we do a consignment bar except for the draught beer supplied.
  • We charge for our stock at cost + 30% mark-up and we will only refund stock at cost price, the 30% markup will be deducted to cover our stock handling fees.
  • We will only supply more drinks over and above the estimate if the client sign our change of scope document, thus authorizing extended supply of drinks.
  • We do not require a Temporary Liquor License if we supply alcohol on Consignment basis.
  • Please note that we will not refund any kegs, and that you will be billed for the total content of the keg, in other words everything must be consumed on the day.
  • The "Refundable Breakage" deposit will be refunded on the first working day after the function once breakage deductions are made if necessary.

Cash Bar Service

  • We charge our standard set-up fee as above mentioned.
  • We (Mobile Bar) will stock the bar with a large variety and lines of alcohol and soft drinks.
  • We have to apply for a Temporary Liquor License to sell alcohol at your event at a cost of R2500.00 per day which will be added to your quote/invoice.
  • The Liquor License support documents must be submitted to the Gauteng Liquor Board by the latest, two weeks before the function.
  • We sell our liquor at your function and all sales will be for our financial gain thus just delivering a service to you.
  • The minimum cater requirement for a cash bar service is for a 100 pax, otherwise it won't justify the cost of the license.

Dry Bar Service

Dry bar package for large or small events

 

Our Dry bar service is ideal for clients who have their drinks sponsored or if you want to purchase the drinks yourself but still needs our bespoke bar counters and our professional staff to take care of servicing your guests.
We have a standard set-up fee, according to the size of the function, which includes the bar counters, our staff, the glasses & ice provided, all the bar utensils and equipment needed to operate a fully functional, yet stylish bar as well as our transport costs, at very reasonable rates.
Our dry bar service is only available with our Mobile Bar staff.
Our Dry bar service operates within a standard service period of seven hours of which 2 hours are for set-up and the other five is for serving, thereafter our overtime rates for our staff will apply unless otherwise agreed.

Consignment Bar

Consignment bar package for large or small events

 

Our Consignment bar is designed to cater for events where the client will carry the drinks bill for the guests attending the function thus making it a free bar for all.
We will work out a very accurate drinks estimate for our client according to variety, brands and within budget. If the drinks estimate is reached on the day, we will then inform our client and set a new limit with their written consent by signing our Change Of Scope agreement.
If the consumption is less than the drinks estimate we will refund all returned stock at cost. Our Consignment rates on the stock is cost + 30% mark-up. When stock is returned we retain the 30% mark-up as a stock handling fee.
The drinks estimate is only suggested consumption worked out according to the amount of guests an hour's of service. The client can amend the estimate according to their budget and specifications.
We have a standard set-up fee, according to the size of the function, which includes the bar counters, our staff, the glasses & ice provided, all the bar utensils and equipment needed to operate a fully functional, yet stylish bar as well as our transport costs, at very reasonable rates. We implemented the standard set-up fees so that we don't have to charge you, the client a minimum sales liability and to cover our costs in delivering a bespoke service to you thus guaranteeing a memorable event and service.
Our guarantee for success at your function is in that we have a reasonably extensive variety in drinks and premier brands available on the bar including cocktails with enough stock to ensure that the bar does not run dry halfway throughout your function.
Our Consignment bar service operates within a standard service period of seven hours of which 2 hours are for set-up and the other five is for serving, thereafter our overtime rates for our staff will apply unless otherwise agreed.

Cash Bar

Cash bar package for large or small events


This package allows Mobile Bar to setup at your private or hired venue and operate like a normal bar.
We have a standard set-up fee, according to the size of the function, which includes the bar counters, our staff, the glasses & ice provided, all the bar utensils and equipment needed to operate a fully functional, yet stylish bar as well as our transport costs,  at very reasonable rates. We implemented the standard set-up fees so that we don’t have to charge you, the client a minimum sales liability and to cover our costs in delivering a bespoke service to you thus guaranteeing a memorable event and service.
Our guarantee for success at your function is in that we have a reasonably extensive variety in drinks and premier brands available on the bar including cocktails with enough stock to ensure that the bar does not run dry halfway throughout your function.

Our stylish bars are manufactured out of lightweight aluminium which can be carried and setup in any location, anywhere in combination with the stainless steel serving surfaces, complimented by a opal white Perspex backlit panel in the colour range determined by the colour of your theme.

Our success is largely attributed to the quality of staff we employ for events. With professionalism, friendliness and passion being key it is not enough to prepare an excellent drink, dealing with the client and guests is of paramount importance. Mobile Bar only employs highly experienced staff and then provides further ongoing training to ensure our bartenders are fully capable and prepared for all types of Mobile events. Our staff aren't part of the back drop - they become a part of the event.

Bar staff are carefully selected by our event coordinator for optimal results at your event. We mix and match staff based on skills and personalities to provide the most practical and enjoyable experience for guests. Teams typically consist of managers, bar staff and floor staff who work together to provide outstanding results. Our staff leaves a lasting impression on everyone they have the privilege to serve.

The Mobile Bar Alco-Drink Calculator

Please take note that the Alco-Drink Calculator does not include your aperitifs, Jug Specials and non-alcoholic drinks.
Once you've chosen what type of drinks you'll be serving, the calculator will determine how many servings of a specific liquor will be required. For example:

100 guests for 2 hours drinking liquor, wine, beer & ciders:
Liquor: 36 Brandy (25ml tot servings), 36 Whiskey (25ml tot servings) etc.
Wine: 30 White Wine (150ml servings) etc.
Beer & Ciders: 120 servings
